How it all started

E-Boat Ltd was founded in October of 2018, but its roots lie much deeper in design and development.

The idea for an electric boat for everyday boaters came by in the early 2000s. Beautiful scenery of the Finnish archipelago ruined by noisy and smelly engines forced us to think of a better solution. Perhaps you could drive by an island without scaring animals and disturbing the peace. Could we enjoy boating at a slower pace?

Design ideas and drafts were created, but the moment was not right for putting the plan to action. In 2018, the courage was found and the opportunity was seized: E-Boat Ltd was created.

With the Co-Founder Samuel Haapala, Jarmo Isohella formed a team for production, marketing and new innovations. The team is highly motivated, excited and development centred.

Displaying the first working prototype showed that now is the right time to bring the affordable electric boats to the market. Interview requests came in from all the boating magazines in Finland, which in turn resulted in contacts from many marketing professionals around Europe. We were doing just the right things at the right time!
